The Emily Boys

In the season one finale, Emily and Gabriel have earth shattering paradigm shifts that last a total of 8 minutes between them. The boys talk French labor laws, Savoir’s incredibly unprofessional pitch meeting, Luc being an alpha, misplaced crowd chants and Richard gives a heart felt thanks for being forced to watch this show. 

For the first time Emily ends an episode with an unresolved obstacle while a spiraling Pierre Cadault has an enjoyable performance. The boys cover Mathieu’s glossed over childhood, Pierre’s coping mechanism, Luc’s art expertise, American and Paris fashion, a cursed Indonesian dissertation and the grizzly fate of the Milwaukee Brewers. 

Camille’s family happens to have a marketing need; Emily closes more than one deal. The boys talk about Camille’s head fakes, Richard’s impressive impression, French school grade names, suffering through too many coq jokes, suffering through Emily’s ringarde instagram caption and France’s age of consent laws. 

In an unforgivable act, the show inflicts Brooklyn Clark; no one loses a limb or turns out to be a lesbian. The boys discuss Chekov’s insurance waiver, hotel arrival routines, Antoine’s extemely fired assistant, Luke’s sage like qualities, France’s clown public work projects and a baffling Kangol hat. 

The show caves to the viewers’ demands and gives them what they want; Mindy decides to start our first B plot. The boys go over Emily’s second 8 mile moment, Chicago suburbs, the numerous ringarde choices in the park and gross new phrases all while Robby promotes analog teen smoking and defends Doug.

All of Emily’s problems begin at the start of this sentence but they’re resolved by the end of it! Phew! The boys talk about how intoxicating the act of sleep is, Olivia’s influencer lunch, Luke’s bit turned inexcusable pitch, slinging springs, Rocky IV parallels, and threesome breadcrumbs. 

We meet Camille, the kindest plot convenience in the small town of Paris; Emily’s cascading bluffs unlock her latent superpower. The boys go over CEO hairstyles, Emily’s questionable echo claims, three good comedic performances, snakeskin symbolism and the unstoppable 2020 Chicago Cubs.

Balance ton porc?! Here?!? Thou shalt not whisper into Emily’s ear your favorite American thing! The boys discuss the bidet order of operations, circumcision speculations, the winding road of nudity in American media, making meals for repairmen and ill-advised Twitter polls. 

Emily has no mystery and now she doesn’t have a boyfriend in America anymore. The boys talk about a Reacher/Emily parallel, a theory of a conspiracy theory’s origin, Emily’s follower hot streak, unacceptable pearl clutching, some genuine praise for the show and then they say De l’Huere a dozen times. 

We meet the bois! Emily takes her 48 Instagram followers to Paris, notches her first declined sexual advance and rubs every French person that meets her (including Richard) the wrong way. The boys discuss Pepe Le Pew, Mindy out Emilying Emily, Emily’s social media acumen, the 1998 French box office results and a surprising second nepo-baby.
